Casting Collective’s Growing Scottish Presence

My plan was always to build Casting Collective’s presence here. We now have an office and a broad database of Scotland based artistes. The film industry in Scotland is booming. There are new studios being built all over the country with a new one about to be built in Stirling and fantastic locations from the highlands to the borders. As well as the major films that roll in for a few weeks there is a vibrant local production industry that we have enjoyed working with.

Our Scotland journey started with an open casting in Glasgow for World War Z, where we saw 6000 people in a weekend, and we have now developed a fantastic Scotland wide database of artistes.

As a family, we have spent our spare time getting to know Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Torridon, St Andrews, Ullapool, Nairn. Edinburgh Fringe, surfing in Sand End, Loonie dooks, wild swimming, Burns night, paddleboarding, Jupiter Artland, my first Munro and camping in Aviemore. There is so much to this wonderful country than I knew about before I moved here 5 years ago! The people are warm and welcoming, the air is clear and it is the place I now call home. I’ll now throw on a wetsuit without hesitation!

I now spend my work time between Scotland and London. It’s been a real joy to get to know the Scottish Artistes and Ad’s based here and I’m really excited about how CC can expand and grow in my new home.

Some recent credits in Scotland include: Running Man, Prodigal Father, Glenrothan, Lockerbie, Karen Pirie, The Girlfriend, The Franchise, Tornado, The Buccaneers, Outlander, Screw, The Crown, The Outrun, Vigil, The Elect, Good Omens, Eurovision, Downton Abbey, Batgirl, The Batman, Fast and Furious 9, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, World War Z.
